04/07/10 Our smallest kitten, Cagaran Aithreachas ('purple-toes') had to be put to sleep last night due to an intussusception, a fluke digestive problem. May she rest in peace.
22/06/10 We have kittens! Katie gave birth to four gorgeous babies at around 4am this morning. She was a perfect introduction to breeding, doing everything for us - what a clever girl!
19/06/10 Congratulations again to Elisabeth Stark, who had a fantastic day at the Lakeland show, with her neuter boy, Xander (Xaria's brother), making up to Grand, and one of her kittens winning Best Foreign Kitten. Congratulations also to Karen, who is now the proud owner of the kitten in question!
29/05/10 Congratulations to Elisabeth Stark (Dushenka Russian Blues), whose gorgeous young stud boy, Teddy (Troika Ivan Tsarevich), won his first Grand Certificate at his first attempt, and also won the Best of Breed against stiff competition at the Durham County show.
20/05/10 Congratulations to Lorraine Pontello on the birth of her own baby, Angelina Irene - a whole different type of hairless kitten to look after!
12/05/10 Katie is now definitely pregnant with her first litter. She should be due around midsummers day. Dàrna doesn't want us to know whether she's pregnant, so we'll just have to wait and see.
02/05/10 Katie and Dàrna are showing the first signs of possible pregnancy today, known as 'pinking up', where the nipples begin to enlarge and take on a pink tone.

24/04/10 We have collected Katie and Dàrna from stud - fingers crossed for kittens in June!
14/04/10 The GCCF Council delegates have voted in favour of incorporation at a rate of 111 to 47! Subject to ratification at the June meeting, this means that the GCCF will become a limited company, which is a huge step forwards.
11/04/10 Katie and Dàrna are with their first boyfriends! Katie is in Cambridgeshire and Dàrna is in Essex.
27/03/10 Congratulations to Olive Holt & Ian Higgins (Nemorez Asians & Burmese), whose gorgeous young Asian Ticked Tabby stud boy, Shammy Kebab (Nemorez Ashamamagic), won Best Foreign at the Preston & Blackpool Show. He is one of the boys that we have been thinking about taking Katie to... Congratulations also to Naomi Johnson (Vervain Burmese & Asians) and her girl, Penny (Merinda Pennydrops), on Penny's 15th birthday today - Penny is behind the pedigrees of all three of our Tiffanie girls!

Congratulations to Heather Kelsall (Khabasha Abyssinians), whose future stud boy, Duncan (Pontaby Alessandro) won Best Foreign Kitten at the West of Scotland. Obviously, congratulations also to Lorraine, who is the proud breeder! Duncan is Monty's half-brother.

Congratulations to Lorraine Pontello, who is now the proud owner of the latest UK & Imperial Grand Champion Abyssinian. Lorraine's boy, One Shot, won his second UK certificate at this year's Supreme. One Shot was the father of our first Abyssinian, Gealbhan. Congratulations also to the Miskellys (Glendavan Abyssinians & Ragdolls), whose Abyssinian kitten beat Dàrna for Best Foreign Kitten!

We have another show neuter - Monty, a fantastically coloured Fawn Abyssinian from Maureen and Lorraine Pontello (Pontaby Abyssinians), near Cumbernauld.

We have our two Ocicat queens - our 'spotty', Breckin, from Rita Leggett (Yesso Ocicats) in Norwich, and our Classic, Kia from Stacie and Ian Shorten (Ameeka Abyssinians and Ocicats) in Lincoln.

Richard and I are both now fully qualified 'implanters', which means that we can microchip any of the standard domestic pets - cats, dogs, rabbits, ferrets and other 'small furries'.
