GCCF Standard of Points for Ocicats and Ocicat Classics
When competing in competition, each breed recognised by the GCCF is judged against a 'standard of points' (SOP). At present only the Ocicat SOP is available as a completed article, since breeds at Assessment stage (including the Ocicat Classic) have only a 'provisional' SOP. This will remain fluid until the breed is accepted for full Championship status.
The SOPs lay out what the judges should be looking for, and give them a framework on which to judge each exhibit against other exhibits of its breed. A basic points system also gives the judges some method of comparing two exhibits from different breeds.
The Ocicat SOP can be found on the 'The Ocicat' page of the Ocicat Club's website, alongside a description and brief history of the breed. The SOP starts about half-way down the page.
